Great game needs improvement

I live in NJ where no one has ever heard of 42. Better than nothing. The AI is improved over the free version but still makes elementary mistakes.

How do you get back from trying to join a game? This app is a joke. The computer play is basically random and in no way challenging, but dont give up on the app yet. Just try to join a multiplayer game to make it interesting and then youll get stuck in that screen. What a disaster, thanks for taking my 2$.

Dont waste your money. If you have played at least 3 hours of 42 in your life you will likely delete the app and curse the thieves who stole your $1.99. I agree with all previously posted shortcomings plus: No "doubles as trumps" Limited nello options: no "doubles low", can only bid nello if stuck with the bid, no option for having the player to the left of the nello bidder play first. Cannot rotate or rearrange the dominoes in my hand. Stupid play by AI. For example, 5th trick of hand, all trumps have been pulled, 3-1 is led. Opponent is holding 6-6, 1-1, 5-0. 1-0 is already in, making the 1-1 worthless. 6-4 is still out. Opponent plays ... 6-6!!! Thanks a lot, partner. The thieves who wrote this app are either poor 42 players, poor programmers, or both. Go buy a Big Mac for a homeless person. Youll feel better about how you spent your money.

If you know anything about playing 42 the way it is supposed to be played and are fairly accomplished, you will waste $ on this app. If you are a beginner and want the basics, this is a great tool to familiarize yourself with the game. I wouldnt recommend picking up any bidding habits from the computer though!

Its a nice try and interesting way maybe to teach a novice how the game works but it has some insanely screwy strategy? For example, I get my partner in the lead and he automatically pulls all the trumps out of my hand! or he got the bid, now Im in the lead so he throws away doubles while holding a straight off? Maybe the goal is to teach you how to play with a 6 year old? Otherwise I would shoot this partner!

Game advertises Nello, but it aint there. Also, a.i. could use some work.

Sadly this appears to be the best 42 app available. It really is like playing my sisters kids.

This program will play 42, but it is pretty lame. It has a default mode of points instead of marks. I could live with that, but over a quarter of the time when I select marks it goes into a game in points. The layout for play leaves a lot to be desired. Why should I have to hit a button and go to a different screen to see the played hands? And why cant I rearrange my dominos on the screen? The nello feature is not fully supported as it is only available for the last bidder and even then it does not offer options like doubles low. BTW, while this program may be ok for learning the basics of 42, dont expect a real life opponent to play all of their trumps before playing anything else. As I said, pretty lame. It was programmed by Aggies, you say?

This AI is quite a bit harder than the free version. Being able to choose Nello and Doubles as trump would definitely add to the game, though. Good bull.

Unfortunately the AI is like playing with an 9-year-old who just learned to play. The computers burn through trumps and save offs for the end.

Good basic game. Good for beginners who want to learn the basics. Would be nice if you could bid sevens or nello (with option to call trumps high, low or a suit if their own). Also, computer players blindly play the highest domino in the suit led, even if it is count and not a winner. This is frustrating for an advanced player. Computer players also seem to dump count at odd times. Logic needs to be expanded to make it more realistic. Still play even with the problems...

REALY, REALY, REALY frustrated with this game!!!! I am fixing to remove it from my iPad and phone. Just lost the game because my partner overbid without his double. Bis sixes, led 6/4 and opponents caught trick with double six. Set first hand and cost us the game. Even a beginner would not have played that way. Please tell us what we need to do to get you to do a MAJOR update of this game. It isnt worth the frustration of even trying to play it. Im done!

Seems Dominos-42 3D, v2.04 and iOS 6 are not playing well together ... Last night I loaded iOS 6 on my iPhone. SInce then, I have not been able to play Dominos-42 3D, v2.04. The app freezes up in the first round. I have deleted it and reinstalled it ... same problem occurs. Its a super-duper app, hope you have a remedy! In the future, please provide a way to play a low-bid (42) no matter where you are in the opening bidding round.

I have had the app for some time and enjoyed it, but all of a sudden it has quit working. It deals out the hands and everyone bids. The player that wins the bid plays and thats as far as it goes. I have emailed the company twice and have yet to hear from them. Anyone else having this problem? Would have rated it higher, but as frustrated that I cant get any response.

Loved this game until it quit working. Did the iPhone update to 6.0 and no more 42. Please fix!!!

My family plays 42 religiously. We all downloaded this app tonight. Weve tried over and over every way we can think of and Cant get multiplayer to work. All the phones see the hosted game, but none can actually join the game. Dont bother

I have played for years. This game falls short. It is like playing with a beginner in single player mode. Cant see whats been played or current score. Try again.

Does not keep up with trumps. Several times I won the hand, but the game for what trumps were and gave the hand to another team. Flawed!
